G-Rail Financial Resources
G Rail will be able to make great progress on getting the new high quality track system in place. Rates of 500 ties per hour are possible allowing up to 1.5km of track per day to be constructed.
G Rail has partnered with Progress Rails Electro Motive division to provide EMD SD70ACe locomotives to move freight over the new rail network. Ghana will join the 75 other countries using EMD locomotives.
In addition to providing motive power G Rail has also partnered with Progress Rail for its engineering and track services.
In addition to new heavy haul mainline locomotives G Rail will also utilize locomotives that have been re-manufactured. The GP20ECO is one such example.
